Thermal image databases − DBnew_2023 / DBnew_2023_Crop / DBnew_2023_Noise / DBnew_2023_ROI / DBnew_2023_Noise_SP

Information related to the use of the databases DBnew_2023, DBnew_2023_Crop, DBnew_2023_Noise, DBnew_2023_ROI and DBnew_2023_Noise_SP with facial/ROI thermal images, captured in different emotional states (neutral, happy and sad).

Each image contains the following relevant information:

• S1....S161 represents the number assigned to the person/subject.
• N - NEUTRAL STATE.
• V - HAPPY STATE.
• T - SAD STATE.
• 123456_IR - the code and the image type (thermal image), related to each image in the databases DBnew_2023/DBnew_2023_Crop/DBnew_2023_Noise/etc
• haar1.......100 - indicates the noise level for each image (with PSNR from inf to 19 dB - DBnew_2023_Noise).
• haar - indicates cropped image.

The DBnew_2023, DBnew_2023_Crop, DBnew_2023_Noise, DBnew_2023_ROI and DBnew_2023_Noise_SP databases belongs to the research center CCETIC (Research Center in Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (ETC), from the University „Dunarea de jos” of Galati). The databases are free and can be used for research in the field of detection, diagnosis and recognition of people and their associated emotional states. The end user has the obligation to cite the database in specialized works/papers.
